State of the garden, pt 2

Hooray, one of the nasturtiums is about to bloom! A red one, I think. I am not a fan of showy flowers (clearly if the bulk of my garden is hostas, catmint and astilbe), but the neighbors are. So I put some nasturtiums in one of the planters just for kicks. And was somewhat taken aback when I realized how large the leaves are. 3 in. in diameter. Anyway, at least one flower. Until then, I’ll leave you with one of the astilbes firing up:astilbe_whiteflowers
